Very fragrant, jammy character. Expressing lots of intense fruit. Freshness. A hint of port like characteristics in nose. Sense of stones or rocks and minerality. Very expressive and distinctive profile. Perfect harmony. Compact, Dense, More oak nuances in perfect balance with tannins. Angular.

 

WS 94 (10/2005): A tremendous wine?rich, intense and powerful, yet exhibiting wonderful balance and finesse, with a tightly wound core of earthy currant, blackberry, mineral, lead pencil and cedary oak. Despite its considerable size and density, the flavors gush through on the finish and the structure is excellent. Best from 2008 through 2014. 900 cases made.
