According to Stephen Tanzer: "Deep red-ruby. Cool aromas of licorice, tar and maple syrup; smells like strong extraction. Thick, sweet and concentrated, with firm acids. Supple on the front end but rather musclebound on the back, with chewy tannins turning a bit dry with aeration. But features good length and avoids astringency."
